Our Mould Removal Process

Mould Masters, in combination with Goldmorr use a 5 part mould removal process.
It’s fast, safe and effective!

Learn our 5 step system below..

Step 1

The Free Instant Quote

The first step of our Mould Removal Process is providing a free quote or estimate. This can be done either from the initial phone call, or if its a more complicated job we will do a site visit.

We need to calculate approximately how much damage has been done by the mould (if any) , and how long it will take to remove the visible mould and prepare the area for our fogging service. This will depend on the severity of the mould, the access, and the volume of an area exposed.

Mould Inspection

Step 2

Mould Inspection

In the second step of the Mould Removal Process we will conduct a full onsite mould inspection using our thermal imaging camera, moisture meters and experience to make sure there is no underlying moisture issues.

By measuring the moisture and air quality levels in your home we can identify if your home has the ideal conditions for mould growth and find the cause to the raised moisture levels.  The key to eliminating mould is to find the root of the problem which is the raised moisture levels. If any changes to the initial quote are needed, this is when we will let you know.

Step 3

Visible Mould Removal

The first of two Goldmorr products (GM6000) is step three of the mould removal process and will clean any visible mould. Since it is a sodium hypochlorite-based solution, it is used on hard, colorfast surfaces only (walls, ceilings, tiles, concrete, etc.) and will not remove the paint from your walls or ceilings.

It is common knowledge that sodium hypochlorite has associated VOC’s (volatile organic compounds), similar to household bleach. However, part two of our process (fogging) will neutralize those VOC’s. Our fogging product (GM2000) is biodegradable, non-toxic, low-/non-irritant and non-corrosive. Mould Masters will fog/mist the entire home or workspace to eliminate the mould spores throughout, preventing more colonies of mould from being able to form in other areas of the structure.

Mould Fogging

Step 4

Fogging

This is the process by which a product that we use, GM2000, is applied within your dwelling. We use a fogging machine and the product comes out in a mist, which gives a far better and more consistent coverage of the entire home or workspace. Similar to when you have a hot shower and steam is created.

Mould is a living, organism that lives everywhere and on everything – The spores can be carried on your clothing, on your pets, as well as floating through the air. Unless the entire home is fogged, we cannot guarantee the mould will not return in other rooms under the right conditions.

Step 5

Air Quality Testing & Mould Management Plan

With the treatment of the whole house being part of a mould masters remediation process, showing the results and quality of our work is important to us.

When the visible mold is removed, it is easy to see the difference. However, post-remediation air quality testing is necessary to show that the invisible airborne mold spores have been eliminated as well.

As part of the Mould Masters removal process, we treat the whole house (not just the area of visible mold contamination) providing you with the best mold removal available.
